Finding your favorite musician’s blues guitar tablature is no big deal as there are a slew of sites that offer note for note tabs which surely will help you find some useful ones. When the sixties came around, there was a virtual flowering of blues and more particularly blues-rock that basically laid most emphasis on three-chord blues and also much solo improvisations. There were some ideas borrowed from instrumental combos that were then loudly amplified and best exponents of such blues rock included bands such as Canned Heat and Cream that played long and involved blues that were not all that easy to remember and thus required use of blues guitar tablature for those interested in duplicating the experience.
Albert King, The Virtual King Of The Blues
Among the more popular blues guitar tablature that you need to check out is that which involves Albert King who is a virtual king of the blues, which title actually is mostly ascribed to another phenomenal blues legend in the form of B.B. King. Even so, it would be worth taking a look at Albert King’s blues guitar tablature since he is great exponent of modern guitar playing who has vastly influenced many other great blues guitarists as well.
Another legend of the blues guitar and whose blues guitar tablature is much sought after is that of Eric “Slowhand” Clapton who, since his debut in mid-1970 has become another true legend of the blues guitar and who is even thought of as being the world’s best rock guitarist of his time. You may even want to study his blues guitar tablature such as for his hit songs that include, but are not restricted to I Shot the Sheriff, Wonderful Tonight and Piece of My Heart, to name but a few of his many hit songs.
On a slightly different plain, there is also the great blues-rock threesome hailing from Texas that go by the name of ZZ Top whose first two albums showed what a deep blues influence there was in their play, and when they came out with a third album that included their hit song “La Grange” they really brought blues play to the fore. Among their other hit songs for which you would find their blues guitar tablature useful, there are Francine, It’s Only Love, Velcro Fly and My Head’s in Mississippi, amongst others.
Of course, the blues have thrown up so many great guitar aficionados that listing all the great artists would be pretty exhaustive and also somewhat self-defeating. Suffice to say that if you are keen on learning to play like your favorite blues musician, there are sure to be some if not all blues guitar tablatures available for your particular choice of song.
